Job Title: IT Specialist (Event Support)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated IT Specialist (Event Support) with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, supporting both onsite and virtual corporate events. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating, setting up, and troubleshooting technology needs for various events, ensuring seamless execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary IT support resource for corporate events, handling both onsite and virtual technology needs.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot IT hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Collaborate with event teams, vendors, and staff at all levels to ensure smooth execution of technology-related event logistics.
- Schedule and coordinate event IT needs, including internet setup, phone configurations, and equipment management.
- Provide real-time troubleshooting and issue resolution during events.
- Maintain thorough documentation and follow best practices for IT event support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and customer service skills – ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented – able to document and manage multiple event setups effectively.
- Hands-on IT experience – comfortable with hardware setup, network troubleshooting, and supporting various event technologies.
- Knowledge of Windows & Mac operating systems – familiarity with Apple iOS and mobile device support.
- Experience working with IT ticketing systems (such as JIRA) and collaboration tools (such as Confluence) is a plus.
- Ability to travel – may require up to 50% travel to support events in various locations.
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills:
- Familiarity with Cisco Meraki network solutions.
- Experience working in corporate events or understanding event logistics.
- Knowledge of streaming technologies and devices such as Google Chromecast.
